The costs of expenditure were calculated as per normal requirement of each buffalo because of group feeding and management. Least squares mean of profit in first lactation, average profit per day of first calving interval, profit in herd life and average profit per day of herd life were 1992.02±370.79, 5.43±0.08, 8698.62±946.49 and 6.98±0.75 rupees, respectively. Profit per unit of investment in the first lactation, profit per unit of investment in herd life, cost per unit of production in the first lactation and cost per unit of production in herd life were 1.06±0.01, 1.04±0.01, 0.98±0.01 and 0.97±0.01 rupees, respectively.
