[Bacterial blight of stock in Mazadaran]
1989
Rahimian, H. | Okhovatian, H.
Bacterial blight of stock (Matthiola incana L.) was observed in Sari in spring of 1987. A xanthomonad capable of causing blight symptoms was consistently isolated from the affected plants. The bacterium was pathogenic only in stock. Other cruciferous species tested were immune. Based on physiological and biochemical characteristics, and its limited host range, the bacterium was identified as Xanthomonas campestris pv. incanae. This is the first report of this pathogen in Iran
