Selection of superior genotypes from seedling orchards is one of the important procedures in almond breeding programs. Many cultivars are released through seedling orchards. This experiment was performed in order to study of 23 selected late blooming. Genotypes and two almond cultivars (Mamaie and Shahrood 12) as control. Trees planted in 5×5 simple lattice design with 2 replications and 3 plants in each plot in 2002. In the first stage vegetative characters (trunk diameter, tree height, shoot annual growth, growth habit and tree vigor) evaluated. Results showed wide diversity among genotypes. Genotypes No. 25, 15, 6 and cv. Shahrood 12 had strong tree vigor because of highest trunk diameter tree height annual shoot growth. While 3, 8, 1 and 2 had weak tree vigor because of lowest amount of vegetative characters. Mamaie cultivar was intermediate tree vigor. Genotypes were divided into 5 groups as growth habit as from extremely upright such as 15, 25 and 6 to weeping such as 1.
