Preliminarily yield trial of early maturity maize hybrids
1987
Dehghanpour, Z | Madahi, H
55 new hybrids were developed with different goals in three separate experiments, using randomized complete block design with four replications (two replications were in normal density and two replications were in high density) have been studied in Karaj. Preliminary experiment no. 1 included 17 new hybrids and preliminary experiments 2 and 3 each had 19 new hybrids with a relevant standard hybrid (KSC301). Statistical analysis such as simple analysis of variance, Duncan multiple rang test, and also correlation coefficients between traits were used for grain yield and yield components, in each experiment. On basis of ANOVA results and field evaluation, we selected the hybrids that were better than the standards, for studding in the next research.
