In order to achieve high yielding wheat lines/ varieties with good adaptability, this experiment was carried out in four (4) research stations.18 lines and varieties of bread wheat with two checks (Morvarid and Gonbad) in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) in four replications were planted and compared. Entries of this experiment were selected out of 40 lines from advanced Regional yield trial of the last year (2010). Plot sizes were 7.2m2 including 6 rows with 6-m length and row spacing was 20 cm. During the cropping season some important traits such as: Days to heading (DTH), Plant Height (PLH), 1000 kernel weight (TKW), lodging%, reaction to diseases under natural condition, shuttering and Days to maturity (DTM) were recorded. After harvesting, grains of each plot were weighted separately and the data were analyzed and based on rank method comparing the yield of the entries with checks, due to yield Index Ratio (YIR%), field notes and reaction to diseases, 2superior lines (7 and 12)were selected to more studying in on-farm trials and using as a parents in breeding program
