A hematological study of Thai Pangus Pangasius sutchi (Fowler) was undertaken for six months from March to August 1999, and following blood cells were identified: erythrocytes, lymphocytes (large and small), thrombocytes, monocytes and neutrophils. Males showed higher haematocrit values, haemoglobin concentration and erythrocyte count than females. The erythrocyte sedimentation rate and mean cell volume (MCV) were however higher in the females. Other blood parameters did not show any variation. An increasing trend were observed in the values of haemoglobin concentration and haematocrit during May to July while leukocyte count increased during May to June and sharply decreased in July. Among the leukocytes, neutrophil and thrombocyte percentage showed change with months in a reverse order.
