The comparative resistance of eight genotypes of transgenic andconventional cotton to bollworms was studied under field ns. The resultsrevealed that infestation of spotted bollworm was significantly high onsquares, flowers and green bolls 00. The infestation of American bollwormof cotton was high on FH-900 followed by CIM-109, CIM-446 and NIAB .The infestation on green bolls and flowers of FH-900 caused by pinkbollworm was significantly high followed by 6 and CIM-473. However, overall infestation of bollworm complex was found to be high on FH-900as compared to genotypes of transgenic and conventional cotton. It canbe inferred from the results that FH-900 was more susceptible tocomplex; however, IRFH-901 emerged as comparatively resistant genotypeto bollworms.
