The aim of the study was to compare the toxic effects of two commonly useddrugs on histopathology of liver in Mus musculus. Different groups of mice wereexposed to different doses of rifampicin and isoniazid (15 mg/kg and 30 mg/kg ofbody weight). Liver was removed and effect of drugs on histopathological valueswas studied. Various doses of drugs showed highly significant pathological effects.Major histopathological changes in liver involved disintegration and disorganizationof epithelial cells, cirrhosis nuclear pyknosis and necrosis. These pathological effectswere drug and dose dependent. These effects were more sever in case of rifampicinand it was concluded that rifampicin was more toxic than isoniazid.
