An analysis of technical, vocational and commercial education contribution towards faculty satisfaction in terms of academic and professional development

The contribution of Technical Vocational and Commercial Education is core area for the study after year 2000. In Pakistan very few studies have been conducted on the subject. Technical Vocational and Commercial Education not only contributes towards economic prosperity but also contribute to social, emotional feelings and career development. The study in hand was conducted to know the contribution of affecting job satisfaction of the faculty working in Technical Vocational and Commercial Education department. The total population of the study was 1226 from faculty to whom a questionnaire was served to record their views. The collected data was analyzed by developing cross tabs and analyzing through chi squares and the results shows that faculty is satisfied with, selection of profession, nature of job, policy and administration, interpersonal relationship, salary and remuneration, incentives and career development. In all these aspects the level of significance is 0.000 which clearly indicate that the faculty of Technical Vocational and Commercial Education is satisfied with their jobs and this satisfaction will contribute to the growth of the subject area in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
