Meiosis in spontaneous haploids of white lupin (Lupinus albus L.S.L.) [monoploids]

Results of the analysis of cytological chromosome reduction and division showed that chromosomes during metaphase 1 mostly had the form of univalents, though univalent associations were also encountered. The first and second divisions were untypical, since lagging chromosomes, chromatid bridges and fragments were found in them. The course of chromosome reduction and division indicates that the analysed white lupin plants were monoploids. The performed analyses provide no basis as the possibility to determine the basic chromosome number (x) of this species
