The paper contains accuracy evaluation for some sequential algorithm applied to designing of observation plans in A- or D-optimal geodetic networks. Effects of inaccuracy of sequential procedure on optimization results is made by means of comparing informativity of optimal sequential projects with really optimal projects. Following sources of inaccuracy were examined: the principle of optimal sequence; the selection of starting variant for projects generation; arbitral selection of allowed multiplication factor for connecting/disconnecting observations. To estimate the accuracy of heurestic algorithms the authors applied a typical method - analysis for worst cases. Critical unfavourable conditions for sequential procedure obtained using mathematical tools of graph theory
