Genetic and environmental effects upon dairy cows performance in particular life periods
1998
Sawa, A.
The main aim of this work was an analysis of some genetic phenomena (addition, heterosis, recombination losses), resulting from crossbreeding of local cattle with Holstein Friesian cows, and evaluation of fundamental genetic parameters (heritability, repeatability, correlation) of milky dairy performed on the basis of data taken from the Regional Breeding Office in Bydgoszcz in the period 1988-95. The influence of genetic (G), environmental (E) and interaction (GxE) factors on the lifetime production of cows was also taken into consideration. Evaluation of parameters connected with the investigated factors, allowed to point out the reasons of appearance of extremal lifetime milk production values and "insignificant traits"
