Modification of the duration of cycle phases in batch reactor type SBR on the efficiency of dairy wastewater treatment

As a result of experiment it has been evidenced that in the case of SBR treating dairy wastewater at low activated sludge loading and simultaneously at high activated sludge concentration a single i.e. limited to only one cycle, extension of the mix phase duration did not negatively affect the effluent quality. Extended mix phase increased the efficiency of carbon compounds removal but had no considerable impact on nitrogen and phosphorus compounds removal
