Adaptation of a fire truck to tow gooseneck trailers for better and effective use in forestry service

Results of works are presented that were done on fire truck Land Rover Defender adaptation to tow gooseneck trailers. Research laboratory and preliminary road tests of Land Rover truck and research gooseneck trailer GN2000 proved that such road unit can easily transport goods on unpaved rural and forestry roads as well as needs for specialized gooseneck trailer that should be designed for transportation one year old trees from forestry nursery located in Babimost Forestry Service Unit. PIMR's research works highlighted needs of import to Poland or develop new agricultural model of tires for small gooseneck trailers. Such tires should be with velocity index up to 90 kmh and quality should with stand very tough condition of transport goods on rural and forestry unpaved roads. Research and develop works should be continue in next years for speedy implementation process of new innovation road units into agricultural and forestry sectors
