Production of Vaccinium ssp. fruit - cranberries and blueberries constantly increases due to their functional activity in human health. Moreover, Vaccinium ssp. and less known small fruits help to increase fruit assortment for healthy food. Latvia is one of the leading countries in American cranberry production in Europe. The aim of the conference is to exchange latest knowledge about well known and emerging risks in production of these crops: cultivars and growing technologies in changing climate, disease and pest control, mineral nutrition in very different substrates, fruit quality and functional activity, storage, processing in healthy products etc. The Conference scientific program covers all research fields in Vaccinium ssp. and less known small fruit: (1) genetic resources, domestication, breeding and cultivar evaluation; (2) cultivation and propagation; (3) fruit quality, biochemical composition and nutritional value; (4) pests, diseases, herbs, and their control; (5) postharvest and processing.
