Since the current along the Latvian coast 50-10 km wide zone is home to more than one million people and the subsequent half century, more than 60% of the Latvian coast of the storm will be more or less flushed, at the national level need to develop a strategy to adapt to shore erosion. A study on attitudes to the possible measures to shoreline erosion in Latvia was conducted interviews in a representative survey of 61 of those 113 households that are or soon will be affected by coastal erosion process. Half of the surveyed, the coastal protective structures deemed to be a good opportunity to adaptation, while the other half indicated that there would be no interest to protective structures.
