The concept on external communication model for the Gauja National Park (GNP) is based on administration's necessity to plan communication, to facilitate society's understanding about the basic functions of the organization, to increase the importance of knowledge about environment sustainability and to facilitate their social diffusion. Special attention is paid to the role of information technologies making an assertion that it is in irreversibly growing communication process. In the result, a scheme of traditional mass communication process ''Sender - Message - Channel - Receiver'' has been modernized and reasonably supplemented with an axis of technologies that had already been advised by Mowlana, H. in 1985 when characterizing the international communication process.
