Two types of samples have been studied in the proposition work, based on a non-linear theory of flexible plates to calculate the resistance of sandwich composite fractures. A theoretical solution has been obtained for the thin sublayer type sample for the determination of the resistance of the interlayer fracture to mix I/II Modd. The fundamental possibility of using this solution in testing practices has been confirmed. The use of the elastic plate non-linear theory for the well-known standard sample of double console beam (DCB) has been further investigated. A theoretical solution has been obtained, an iterative algorithm has been developed to process test results based on THE MATLAB code, and very flexible glass fibre reinforced polymer (GFRP) samples have been tested and compared with the treatment results according to ASTM D 5528-01 standard with a linear solution correction.
