The phenotypical variations and the multiplicity of names for the Moroccan fig tree varieties make the varietal identification of the accessions of Ficus carica L. confused. Materials and methods. Fifteen accessions present in a collection in the area of Meknes and corresponding to five different denominations were characterized by combining two approaches: pomological and molecular (SSR and ISSR) characterizations. Results. The results obtained made it possible to identify distinct accessions and redundancies within each of the five F. carica denominations. Conclusion. The complementarity of the two approaches tested appears useful for the establishment of a reference collection

Matériels et méthodes. Quinze accessions présentes en collection dans la région de Meknès correspondant à cinq dénominations différentes ont été caractérisées en combinant deux approches : pomologique et moléculaire (SSR et ISSR). Résultats. Les résultats obtenus ont permis d'identifier des accessions distinctes et des redondances au sein de chacune des cinq dénominations. Conclusion. La complémentarité des deux approches se révèle utile pour l'établissement d'une collection de référence.
