Essential oil yield and compositions of chamomile (Matricaria Chamomilla L.) cultivated in different province of Turkey

In this study, it was investigated essential oil yield and compositionsof Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.) cultivated in Konyaand Karaman ecological conditions, Turkey. Essential oil yield of chamomile wasdetermined as 0.73 % in Konya and 0.62 % in Karaman. The most importantessential oil component of chamomile, kamazulen content is 1.13 % in Konya location and 1.36 % in Karaman location. Alpha-bisabololcontent from the essential oil componentsin the Konya and Karaman province was determined as 38.60% and 27.36%,respectively. The aim of this research attempts tocontribute to knowledge of differences between essential oil yield and components of Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.)cultivated in Konya and Karaman ecological conditions, Turkey.
