Publiched data on the lysine methabolic pathways in various strains of yeasts have been summurised in the review. The ways of regulation of the activity of the key biosynthetic and catabolic enzymes of lysine are considered. Some information is presented on account of genetic control and genetic regulation of these processes. The possibilities of using of some genetic and selection methods for obtaining more efficient yeast strains with respect to lysine biosynthesis were shown. Some technological processes where this strains coud be used are pointed out.
