Taxonomical studies on Korean native flora with special reference to new horticultural cultivars of Cymbidium virescens and the observation of Cymbidium lancifolium.

Cymbidium virescens were collected from various habitats in Korea [R.] and cultured at the similar conditions in Jejudo, Korea [R.]. According to the flower color and various morphological characters of leaves, new horticultural cultivars of the orchid were classified, and given new cultivar names. 'Uk', 'Yeongjuso' and 'Tamraso' are undotted on the labellum, and non-lined on the petals and sepals but show pinkish spot in the base of labellum. 'Yoohyang' is a cultivar of scented flower. New cultivar of dark purplish red flower color is found 'Jindoja', and those of yellow green flower color are 'Okyeo', 'Arirang', 'Ilpum', 'Jinhae', 'Hongdo' and 'Sanne'. 12 cultivars of Cymbidium virescens were classified as new ones, and the leaf coloration type of Cymbidium lancifolium and C. virescens was observed.
