The study deals with electrophoretograms of wheat populations from the standpoint of heterozygosis within a sample. The samples were picked in Montenegro and south-east of Bosnia (Yugoslavia). It was established that the investigated material was very diverse. The diversity occured among different samples but also within samples. Significantly lower ploidy degree was found in the investigated wheat populations as compared to the intensively produced wheat. The diversity can be of great importance for further improvement.
