Soil samples were collected to assess the nutrient status of the soils of the Blashcherra Experimental Farm of the Bangladesh Tea Research Institute. The samples were processed and analysed for physical and important chemical constituents with reference to tea by following the standard methods. Results indicated that soils of Section - 1, Section -2 (Tillah base) Section - 3 (Tillah base) and Section - 6 (High fat) were either poor or inorginal with respect to nitrogen. Organic matter content in soils of Section - 1 (Tillah top), Section - 6 (Tillah base and High - flat) and Section - 7 (High flat) is marginal to poor.
