The quantity of organic materials which is brought about in the mulberry field produced 10t of mulberry leaves was 7.6t as a dry material and was 30.4t as a comp0st. The residue of silkworms was rotted to 76-82 percent in a year, 92-100 percent in two years and 56-66 percent in 3 years. And the branches of mulberry trees were rotted in 3 years. When the residue of silkworms is applied to the deep soil, the yield of mulberry was not high in the first year but remarkably increased from the second year.
