This manual has been compiled by the Storage Department of the Natural Resources Institute (NRI). It originated as a material support for the storage pest component of training courses. The first edition of this manual brought together identification keys and information on basic biology and recognition for all the major tropical storage insects and mites and for many others of lesser importance. This revised second edition incorporates many minor corrections and amendments, and includes some up-to-date information and also more details on certain subjects which have been requested by users of the 1984 edition.
