The problems of friction appearing process, friction reduction and wearing out of working tools of agricultural machines have been analysed. The experiments carried out and described in this paper suggest that it is possible to affect friction reduction to a great extent and that it is recommended to work on mastering such procedures that will enable permanent provision of these conditions and extend the lifespan of the coatings. The data obtained during coating of working tools - cultivator shares, also suggest some positive results aiming at extension of the lifespan and great reduction of friction.
