Nutritional assessment from the perspective of a clinician.
1987
Bozzetti F.
A technical review focuses on the major problems related to nutritional assessment in its different uses to develop observations of clinical relevance. Topics include: the need for a "normal" standard for nutritional epidemiology studies; nutritional assessments using nutritional "markers" (e.g.: weight loss, serum albumin) for assessing status and monitoring nutritional repletion; and the role of nutritional assessment for determining proper nutritional support. Specific references to patient diagnosis and monitoring are included.(wz).
