Pengaruh sinar gamma pada setek klon TRI 2024 dan Kiara 8 terhadap pertumbuhan teh muda.

English. An experiment has been conducted at Gambung Research Center of Estate Crops since March 1989 to March 1991. The object is to detect the change in growth of plants of TRI 2024 and Kiara 8, which were treated with gamma rays. Cutting of TRI 2024 and Kiara 8 were irradiated by gamma rays at dose rates of 0, 5, 10 and 15 Gy. Results of the experiment showed that growth of clone TRI 2024 differed with Kiara 8 expressed in plant height. The growth difference of young tea plants between TRI 2024 and Kiara 8 were shown by plant which received different radiation dose rates. Changes were found for the young plants of clone TRI 2024 when treated by the lowest radiation dose (5kGy), while for Kiara 8 the changes were obtained for plants radiated by the highest dose (5kGy). Stem diameter of TRI 2024 clones was easier to change than plant height and number of branches but for Kiara 8 it was the other way around.
Show more [+] Less [-]BAHASA: Telah dilakukan penelitian di Puslitbun Gambung dari bulan Maret 1989 sampai dengan Maret 1991 dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan penampilan tanaman teh muda klon TRI 2024 dan Kiara 8 yang diradiasi dengan sinar gamma. Setek teh klon TRI 2024 dan Kiara 8 diradiasi dengan sinar gamma dengan dosis 0, 5, 10 dan 15 Gy. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan antara tinggi tanaman muda klon TRI 2024 dan Kiara 8, yaitu klon 2024 lebih tinggi dari Kiara 8. Perubahan tanaman muda klon TRI 2024 terjadi pada dosis rendah (5Gy), sedangkan pada Kiara 8 terjadi pada dosis tinggi (15 Gy). Diameter batang klon TRI 2024 lebih mudah berubah dibanding tinggi tanaman dan jumlah cabang, tetapi pada Kiara 8 yang terjadi adalah sebaliknya.
