Eating habits and their relationship to health are critically examined. Nutritionists comment on how diet relates to major diseases, and on how advertising and the food industry influence food choices. Some students try for three weeks to reduce their sugar, salt, and fat consumption, and report the results. A school board president talks about the success of a program to put nutritious foods in vending machines. Through discussions of food processing, the occurence of sugar, salt, and fat in the diet is examined in detail. A doctor urges putting aside junk foods and eating right to maintain fitness and good health.
