The weight loss of rambutan fruits was reduced by wrapping them in moist newspaper. Fruit weight loss of 'Srichompoo' and 'Roangrian' cultivar was 2.21% and 1.98% respectively after 42 hours of storage, while the control at room temperature 'Srichompoo' lost 7.36 and 'Roangrian' 6.23%. Fruits of both cultivars wrapped with moist newspaper for 6 days had a small change of the spinterns, while the untreated fruits had dessicated and dark skin. However every treatment had some decayed fruits since the first day of the experiment.
