Institute of Sugar Industry has carried out two directional investigations to elaboration the most effective method for removal of biogenic compounds from sugar industry sewage. The first one tends toward an elaboration of a manner of removal of nitrogen and phosphorus compounds from biologically treated sewages with use of a self putrification method in storage tanks. The second one intends to find a way of removal nitrogen and phosphorus compound from the biologically treated sewages at the sewage treatment plants, used a method of methane fermentation and sewage aeration with activated sludge. The results obtained proved that manner of putrification method in storage tanks is profitable.
