At day 20 after Mo administration, RBC, Hb and PCV values in group 1 sheep receiving 60 mg of Mo/(kg.d) synchronally increased, and the values did not achieve anemic degree although they have a decline tendency until 40th day. But the aforementioned values in group 2 and 3 sheep receiving 30 and 15 mg of Mo/(kg.d) respectively did not show apparent changes. There were some qualitative alterations of myelocyte and Fe accumulation in all experimental sheep. In the sheep fed with Mo and sulfate (group 4), their RBC, Hb and PCV levels subsided synchronally at 80th day and they were lower than those of all other groups significantly at 100th day. In the meantime, WBC and PT values also decreased synchronally. In addition, the myelocytic erythrocyte, granulocyte and megakaryocyte (especially in erythrocyte) series showed hypoplastic. It is concluded that the aplastic anemia resulted from synergistic action of Mo-S may be due to defects of haemapoietic stem cells and/or immunosuppress effect.
