Quantitative regularities in iron oxides and haematite extraction by various acids from a grey forest soil were revealed. In the course of soil - acid interaction three intervals of concentrations may be separated: 1. intensive iron extracting with acids concentration below 0.005 n; 2. passive phase with practically no iron extracted and acids concentration 0.5... 0.05 n; 3. second active interval with acids more concentrated than 0.5 n, with the iron concentration logarithm growing parallel to that of acid concentration. Only one linear regularity was revealed for haemitite, the passive being absent. The amount of iron extracted depends on the acid applied.
