The investigation dealt with yield and early maturing of several tomato varieties grown under plastic cover. The highest yield was obtained with "MI-13" (77.2 t/ha) and the lowest with "Luka" (61.1 t/ha). The highest coefficient of early maturing was found with the "Luka" variety (46.6%) and it was significantly higher than with other varieties. The best relation of yield and early maturing was with "MI-13" variety.
