Influence of nitrogen fertilization kind, dose and storing time on the mechanical properties of sugar beet roots.
1993
Bzowska Bakalarz M.
The highest resistance to compression was observed in the fresh roots fertilized with the keratinocarourea fertilizer in its lowest dose. After the month of storing biological resistance of the roots increased by 6.5 percent. After the two month storing a decrease in all the studied parameters was noticed. The lower part of the root had the lowest resistance to compression, the highest modulus and the highest degree of elasticity.
