DEUTSCH: Es wird erstmals ueber die Isolierung von Burkholderia pickettii (biovar 2) aus Acanthamoeba-Spezies (Gruppe II), einer freilebenden Amoeben-Spezies, berichtet. Licht- und Elektronenmikroskopie zeigen, dass zunaechst das Bacterium durch die Amoebe phagozytisiert wurde. B. picketti veranlasst die Amoebe grosse Vakuolen zu entwickeln, gefuellt mit voellig intakten und bewegungsfaehigen Bakterien.
