Efecto de tres fitoreguladores en el desarrollo y rendimiento del tomate (Lycopersicon esculentum).

Se evaluaron los efectos de tres fitoreguladores sobre el desarrollo y rendimiento del tomate; se usan los nombres y las concentraciones de los productos comerciales por no ser posible referirse a ellos de otra manera. Los productos fueron: Activol (GA 10), Biozyme (GA 0.15 + extractos vegetales y minerales) y Agrostemin (alantoina, triptofano, y otros aminoacidos y metabolitos de Agrostema ghitago). En pruebas de laboratorio la germinacion no fue estimulada significativamente, pero la respiracion seminal y el crecimiento de la raiz fue estimulada por Agrostemin y Biozyme y deprimida por Activol. La aplicacion fue de 1000 ppm en todos los casos. En plantas desarrolladas en invernadero, todos los productos aumentaron el contenido de clorofila cuando se aplicaron a 1000 ppm. en 3a. hoja. En pruebas de campo, el numero de frutos no aumento significativamente por la aplicacion de los productos, pero el rendimiento en peso fue aumentado por Biozyme, deprimido por Activol y no fue afectado por Agrostemin. Todos ellos fueron aplicados a 1000 ppm.

Effects of three phytoregulators on tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) development and yield were evaluated; commercial names and concentration are used because there is no other way to refer to them. Products were: Activol (GA 10), Biozyme (GA 0.15 + plant extract + minerals) and Agrostemin (alantoin, tryptophan and other aminoacids and metabolites from Agrostema ghitago). In laboratory trials germination was not improved significantly but seed respiration and radicule growth were stimulated by Agrostemin and Biozyme and depressed by activol. Application in all cases was at 1000. In plants grown in the greenhouse all the products increased chlorophyll content when applied at 1000 ppm in 3d leaf stage. In field trials the number of fruits was not significantly inceased by products, but yield and weight of fruit was increased by Biozyme, decreased by Activol and not affected by Agrostemin, all of them applied at 1000 ppm.
