The Author is studying the effect of alcohol-treated potato tuber juice on the taking root and the development of experimental sarcoma in rats when this juice is combined with the sarcoma protein. He found that the juice had the effect of delaying the growth of sarcoma, and is inclined to believe that the juice can also inhibit its taking root. The author believes that this fact is due mainly to the ferments contained in the tubers.
Show more [+] Less [-]ITALIANO: L'A. studia l'azione che il succo del tubero della patata, previamente trattato con alcool, esercita sull'attecchimento e sviluppo del sarcoma sperimentale nel ratto, quando questo succo venga associato alla proteina sarcomatosa e constata che detto succo e dotato di proprieta di ritardare lo sviluppo del sarcoma e forse anche di inibirne l'attecchimento. Ritiene che detto fatto in massima parte sia dovuto ai fermenti contenuti nel tubero stesso.
