Volume local functions were constructed for Eucalyptus globulus (Lab.) at CODELCO Chile. El Teniente Division's property, Laguna de Cauquenes, both for high and low forest, including fuel wood, fortification timber (used to fortificate underground mine tunnels) and total wood volume, measured as barkless, solid cubic meters, and sawtimber as board inches. Literature described functions were tested and those free of bias and 20% maximum allowed error at 5% significance level, were chosen in each case. Relation between square of the Dbh and different volumes is the following: Both total and sawtimber volume showed a positive linear relation. Otherwise fortification timber volume showed a negative linear relation. Fuelwood volume showed statistically no significant relation, possibly due to inaccurate method of field measurement. Furthermore, methodology to construct volume local functions that may be used by CODELCO in the next years, is given.
