Lateral buds, stem segments and leaf segments of Chrysanthemum 'Golden St. Moritz' were grown in modified Murashige and Skoog liquid and agar media, supplemented with 0.02 mg/1 NAA (alpha-naphthaleneacetic acid) and 2.0 mg/1 kinetin (6-furfurylamino purine). Lateral buds produced single shoot and green friable callus on agar medium, and they were considered to be the best explants for culturing. When callus was cultured on Murashige and Skoog agar medium containing 2.0 mg/1 NAA and 2.0 mg/1 kinetin, multiple shoots and plantlets were produced. The rooted plantlets could be transplanted into non-sterilized medium in vivo and grow well.
