The soils of South Carrabin: light land research station [Western Australia].
1989
Scholz G.G. | Smolinski H.J.
A soil survey was carried out for the research station 'South Carrabin light land block', a property of the Western Australian Department of Agriculture. The soils are infertile having low pH-values, low buffering capacities and aluminium toxicities. Droughtiness and low nutrient availability characterize the soils at the research station. Salt is found at a depth of 100 cm and deeper, the subsoil gravels are cemented by calcium carbonate. The soils should be protected against wind and water erosion.
