All the strains of fungi were isolated earlier from diseased roots of strawberries. Two methods of artificial infection were applied. Investigated fungi inhibited the development of the leaf rosette, restricted leaf growth and caused disease symptoms on leaves and roots. The fungus Alternaria alternata was the most pathogenic.
