The experiment of "Study on Conception rates of Straw Frozen Semen in Dairy Cattle" was done at the Department of Animal Science, Bangkhen, Kasetsart University. All 52 dairy cows of 24 Brown Swiss and 28 Holstein Freisian were artificially inseminated with straw frozen semen. Each breed of dairy cows was separated into 2 groups of animal. Cattle in each group were then inseminated with 0.25 c.c. and 0.50 c.c. of straw semen. Comparison of the conception rates in the two doses, the two breeds, and ampule frozen with straw frozen with straw frozen semen were done. The conception rates computed with one dose per head of 0.25 c.c. and 0.50 c.c. straw semen dose were 48.0% and 59.0% respectively. The conception rates of 90 dairy cows inseminated with one dose per animal of ampule frozen semen was 63.0%. The conception rates of more than one dose of both dose straw and ampule frozen semen were also shown in this study.
