In the opinion of the co-operative- and state farm leaders, manual workers and private farmers touched directly by the transformation process, which was expressed in the summer of 1991, the rent of land tensure is real at present maximally up to the price of 150 kg/ha of wheat. The conceptions vary greatly: there are leaders who are willing to buy 300 ha of land or to rent 500 ha of land, on the other hand, some are thinking in an order of magnitude of hardly 1 ha. For manual workers, the claim to land is greater and the plans concerning private farming are more courageous. In their opinion, the growth of private farming is hindered by (in order of succession) the lack of own assets, the uncertainty of the market and by the expensiveness of the credits. Those who are also farming at present rank the marketing to the first place. They imagine the production structure in general as traditional, but many of them (30 o/o) are pondering other activities as well (tree nursery, biohumus, snail keeping, production of mixed feeds, meat- or dairy farm, agricultural tourism, etc.). Their great majority took up a position on the necessity of the future co-operation.
