The first investigation year of the water and productive functions of vegetables, mainly cabbage and beetroot on cambisol has provided the following results: experimental yield values with cabbage were approximated by the square polynomial form of Y(W,N) = bo+b1W+b2N+b3W + +b4N +b5WN and with beetroot by the polynomial form Y(W,N) = bo+b1W+b2N+b3W . +b4N . +b5WN; water and productive functions of cabbage and beetroot produced optimum values of the total evapotranspiration for each of the used levels of fertilization; the achieved water and productive function of cabbage did not point to the existence of the optimum value above which the yield decreases with the increase of fertilization.
