A study on the dynamics in pond was carried out in series of ponds stocked with high density shrimp fry, i.e: 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5 pieces per square meter. Critical periods of dissolved oxygen content was observed in all ponds, between 21.00 to 06.00 hours. Based on this finding and oxygen transfer efficiency rate of some aerators, it can be suggested that aeration in the ponds should be started since 16.00 hours.
