Spray of alphanaphthalene acetic acid, at 1 ppm, reduced the cracking index when applied to Bing, Marmotte, Mollar de Caceres and Napoleon cherries from 25 to 30 days before harvest. Similar sprays have not given adequate control of cracking with the varieties Daiber and Van.
