To determine whether basal phosphorus fertilizer applied in the studies on response of peanut to sulphur application and on nutrient deficiencies of peanut in Korat soil was sufficient or not, a trial was conducted at Ban Nong Khoy, Khon Kaen (Korat soil) in the same area as the sulphur response study. The treatments included five rates of phosphorus fertilizer (0, 25, 50, 100 and 200 kgP/ha.) in the form of double super phosphate. A randomized complete block design with three replicates was used. Urea, potassium chloride and gypsum were applied as basal fertilizer at the rates of 50 kgK, 50 kgP, and 40 kgS per ha. No response was obtained for peanut seed yield and yield components. Basal phosphorus fertilizer applied in the studies on response of peanut to sulphur application and on nutrient deficiencies of peanut in Korat soil (also reported in this meeting) was sufficient.
