A microbiological approach to the cause of migration of honey bees from their hives.
1981
Khan M.R. | Razzaque M.A.
Through microbiological cultural techniques, five bacterial strains were isolated from the infested beehives. Though the strains could not be directly correlated with the bee migration, they were found capable of utilizing crude to undiluted honey under laboratory conditions which could be an indirect reason for such migration. Bacillus and B. circulans were identified among the isolates.
